Gitanjali’s BETI honored at Gr8! Women Awards

Third annual Gr8! Women Awards- Middle East was organized at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. The ceremony highlighted and honored the initiatives like BETI which is a fight for the cause of girls and women in the society. BETI is a Non-Government Organization supported by Gitanjali Group and founded by Mrs. Anu Ranjan, who is the co- Publisher of Gr8 magazine. The NGO also has the support of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The main motive of Gitanjali BETI is to fight against atrocities like female foeticide and protect the rights of girls and women in the society. With the aim of women empowerment, BETI has been a part numerous events and shows since its establishment.  Anushka Ranjan is not only a model but brand ambassador of BETI who talked on issues and adversities women faces in our society on daily basis. She was felicitated at Gr8! Women Awards by Gitanjali Group for playing a remarkable role in this field for spreading awareness towards such issues which makes a women feel vulnerable at every step.

Mr. Ajay Pandey is the , CEO of International Brands Business of Gitanjali Group, who presented a souvenir in the form of BETI award to Anushka Ranjan. After that she addressed the masses about all the activities undertaken at BETI which focuses mainly upon strengthening the women and help her to stand on her own feet to speak out her mind with newly discovered confidence and acknowledge her right to equality in the society.

On the occasion, Mr. Pandey highlighted Gitanjali Group’s various initiatives taken for the upliftment of underprivileged as the organization is concerned towards the society and cease the malpractices, which are being followed in the same. The award ceremony was powered by Gitanjali Group and sponsored by Petrochem.
