Bharati Vidyapeeth bags first position at the 10th SP Sathe National Moot Court Competition
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University’s (BVDU) New Law College bagged first prize in the three-day 10th SP Sathe National Moot Court Competition 2016. The event was held at ILS Law College Pune and organized by Indian Law Society (ILS) Law College, Pune. It was graced by the presence of eminent judges and advocates of district and sessions court who judged the competition. It entailed huge participation from the students of the university who won the first prize in the competition. There were 32 teams in the competition.
The team of Richa Singh, Pragya Narayan and Shilpa Kumari from New Law College bagged the first position as the best team. Similarly, Pragya Narayan was adjudged as the best speaker and the team from New Law College was adjudged as the best team in Maharashtra. It is yet another benchmark of excellence established by the students of Bharati Vidyapeeth University.
Prof Dr Mukund Sarda, New Law College Pune, and the faculty members of the university congratulated the students for winning the competition. Dr. Sarda said that, “It is a great moment of pride for Bharati Vidyapeeth University. We firmly believe in enhancing the area of knowledge of the students in each and every field. Such competitions offer a great opportunity to the students to widen their area of knowledge and skills. We look forward to organizing other such competitions for the students. The University is proud of its students who outshined others with their outstanding performance in the competition. I wish them all the best for their future.”
