Shukaku Inc: Karate-do Shotokan Demonstration and Friendship Competition
The Cambodia Karate-do Shotokan Demonstration and Friendship Competition, 2014, saw Phnom Penh City Center as one of its major sponsors. The competition took place on 21 December, 2014 at the National Olympics Stadium. Phnom Penh City Center donated up to USD10,000 to the Academy. Company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ms. Amu Pillay felt proud in PPCC being associatedwith the Karate Academy in order to promote the highly disciplined sport. She elaborated, “It’s very encouraging to see children as young as seven being involved in this sport. PPCC is also in support of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policy in promoting and developing this sport to get athletes ready for the SEA Games when Cambodia is the Host Country in 2023. We hope to see more youngsters take up Karate”.
“Sport is an important activity that everyone should include in their daily life and any kind of sport is good. With this view, PPCC has dedicated a portion of the development to include a green lung for the community to enjoy outdoor sports. The Central Park will encourage the community to indulge in their favorite outdoor sports and breathing fresh air. Karate is a highly discipline sport and PPCC is proud to be a partner with the Karate Academy in promoting this sport”, she added.
