Central offers the trending clothing and accessories, Globus is the one stop shop for formal and casual clothes collection for men and women. Biba offers designer ethnic wear for women and the Walkers Club has a family fitness club for complete entertainment, fun and fitness lessons. Neptune Magnet Mall has become one of Mumbai’s most preferred and largest shopping & entertainment destinations. It is spread across an area of 1,580,000 sq ft. at Bhandup in Mumbai with Rs. 450 crore investments. Vijay Punjabi Consultants Pvt. Ltd. has designed the interior which is based on the concepts of Forrec, an international architect.
Susil Dungarwal, CEO, Neptune Magnet Mall said, “Initially, the mall had been conceptualized with an entirely different mindset, where the design mainly focused on smaller shops in the retail segment and five atriums, among other features.”
Taling about the systematic functions of the mall, Dungerwal stated that, “Visitors are screened at the entrance, and traffic circulation has been conducted to ensure that even when the mall is functioning at peak capacity, there is no congestion on the main road. The entire mall is monitored through CCTVs, smoike deterctors, fire fighting and sprinkler systems. Hydro-pneumatic pumps and GI pipes are used to supply water. The mall has been designed to ensure that most of the services are at the rear end; this includes users who need wet areas and ventilation- like spas and restaurants-along with additional provisions for plumbing connectivity.”
He further added that, “We are also planning to install a combined heat and power plant for more power and cooling. This co-generation plant will work on natural gas to produce electricity, and the heat generated will be recovered to cool the space.”
