NIMS holds seminar on ‘Nation Building’ through ‘Digital India initiative’

Taking ahead the ‘Digital literacy’ triumvir of the government’s Digital India initiative, NIMS University organized a national seminar on Nation Building under the Umbrella of “Skill Development and Digital India”. The seminar was held at Rajeshwari Auditorium in NIMS University on December 6.

The Nation Building Seminar was inaugurated by National General Secretary of Bhartiya Janta Party Mr. Arun Singh and President of Rajasthan Mr. Ashok Parnami. Mr. Arun Singh shared his ideas and practical solutions for development by keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision in his mind.

(Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar, Chancellor of NIMS University Jaipur, proposed “Six Arms Theory” for skill development. He also spoke about the importance of this programme to establish India as a golden bird again.

Mr. Ashok Parnami appreciated NIMS University’s efforts for organizing the seminar which triggered motivation towards the agenda of Digital India. He said that such seminars provide an opportunity that brings together governmental initiatives and academicians, fostering stronger ties to create programs which focus on skill development in the field of digital technology.

Prof. G.N. (Guna) Magesan, Vice Chancellor of NIMS University and Institute of Advance Research, Gandhinagar, congratulated NIMS University for having been awarded with the title of the ‘Best University in India for Innovations and Skill Development’. He said that skill and knowledge play a vital role in driving the economic growth of the nation and youth has the energy and potential to push these driving forces forward to make India a real knowledge based economy.

Swami Abhishek Brahmchari hail from Varanasi blessed everyone by giving an energetic speech. He focused on interrelationship between the structure of educational qualification and the occupational structure of labor force, and between education and social change.

Mr. Rohit Kumar Singh, National President Swami Sahjanand Saraswati Samajik Nyay Manch, Bharat, also spoke on the occasion. Prof.

Dr. Shobha Tomar, Managing Director of NIMS University, spoke about the Digital India initiative with an emphasis on empowerment of women. Mr. J.P. Singhal, Vice Chancellor of University of Rajasthan and Mr. Kunjilal Meena, IAS, Secretary Elementary Education, Government of Rajasthan, took the audience through an academic journey.

    Digital India is a new and brighter hope for India.PM Narendra Modi launched the ‘Digital India week’ promising invests as much as Rs 4.5 lakh crore that aims at adding 1.8 million jobs.
