Ratul Puri’s insight on London
London is not only the pioneering city of industrialization; it is the business destination for many businessmen even today. Ratul Puri agreed to share some of his experiences from his weekly visits to the English capital, which played a significant role in making it the HPPPL Chairman’s favourite business destination.
Ratul Puri not only appreciates the architecture of the city but also find Savoy Hotel, The Ritz, The Lanesborough and The Connaught fitting well in that category. Finding privacy is not a tough task in London and to know the city from close, one can take a ride to the underground transportation system, which is the heartbeat of the city.
Ratul Puri says, “London has everything—music, art, the Broadway and a fast night life. Come nightfall, London opens up a whole new world of options to first-time visitors and seasoned veterans alike. Redchurch Street in Shoreditch is a place with galleries, bars and bistros, and the occasional cash-and-carry. This East End thoroughfare has been a favourite of mine. Among other things, this is a place for shoe shopping.”
The fast night life of London is another world for seasoned veterans and first-time visitors. East End of London is considered best for shoe shopping by Ratul Puri and other industrialists. The man didn’t forget to mention a visit to Scotland if the business trip can be extended a bit longer.
Ratul Puri also warns about rampant pickpocketing at Oxford Street and Regent Street along with authentic English cuisine, which many Indians don’t prefer to have.
Carrying an umbrella would be a smart decision on your part if you want to enjoy the weather of the city.
