Shriram Properties Donated Meal Delivery Vans To Akshaya Patra Foundation.

Only the collective efforts of society at large can result in a considerable development of a country. Basically, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has a major role to play in the development process, providing resources that are fundamental to a non-profit’s work.

Akshaya Patra Foundation (APF) has received a great support from many organisations, to develop a culture that unites two major aspects of social development, i.e. people who are in need with those who are willing to help them during that time of need.

Shriram Properties endeavours to invest in prevailing social causes in our nation. Donating the food vans and supporting Akshaya Patra give them the opportunity to make sure that the children get a healthful meal on time which is essential for their growth and education.

Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa—Vice Chairman of Akshaya Patra Foundation said, “We are extremely honoured to receive persistent support from Shriram Properties. Their support is truly inspiring and has made a difference to the lives of thousands of children and we place on record our gratitude for the same.

The delivery vehicles have been customised to give them a typical look of Akshaya Patra meal delivery vans with the honeycomb structure to avert food spillage and insulated body to maintain the appropriate temperature for the food to remain hot. These custom-designed delivery vans have the capacity to transport mid-day meals to over 4,500 deprived children and are a vital part of the logistics required for executing the mid-day meal program.

You can visit APF’s website to know more about how you can contribute to a noble cause by donating a meal delivery van. Choose to donate a van and help provide healthy and warm food to underprivileged children.
