Jagmohan Garg Delhi firmly believes in the philosophy of Brahma Kumaris that Meditation is the most effective medium that connects soul and mind. It helps in unraveling your true self and deciphering the path to spiritual enlightenment. “Following a spiritual path becomes a necessity to rejuvenate the inner self and stay surrounded by positive vibes,” he believes.
The ardent Brahma Kumari follower, Jagmohan Garg further shows his inclination towards meditation by calling it a mental and spiritual discipline which helps one in attaining the perfect harmony between the mind, body and soul.

The event was graced with the enlightening words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the audience via video conferencing. He expressed his views eloquently; as he inaugurated the four-day ‘International Conference-cum-Cultural Festival on God’s Wisdom for World Transformation’.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi

PM Modi focused on the fact that, despite having different forms of worshiping God, India has always said that God was one. “In India, God is not different for the Hindus, Muslims and for Parsis. The truth is one, only different people may express it differently. We are such a country which does not believe in imposing our views on anyone. We are such people who believe that knowledge has no limits, knowledge has no timing, knowledge is not bound by anything, knowledge does not need any passport, knowledge does not need a visa,” he said.

He further added, “In our culture, the 80th anniversary is a very special occasion. Brahma Kumar and Kumaris have spread the message of India’s rich culture throughout the world. The way Brahma Kumaris family has taken forward the reach of solar energy actively is commendable. By 2030, India aims to generate 40% energy from non-fossil fuels. By 2022, our aim is to ensure 175 GW of clean energy. About Rs. 11,000 crore has been saved by the use of LED bulbs. Brahma Kumaris organization can help spread this message,“Exploitation of nature is a crime for us, we believe in milking of nature,” PM Modi went on to say and added, “Let us further the use of digital transactions and make the system more transparent. This will bring down corruption.” He further emphasized on the dire need for the organization to help the government’s ‘Indradhanush’ vaccination programme for new-born children as lakhs of them suffer from various diseases.

The Brahma Kumaris lays great emphasis on the importance of women rights and their position in the society. Modi also focused on the importance of nutrition and empowerment of women, as he said, “Urge Brahma Kumaris family, Central and state departments to come up with plans to ensure proper nutrition. We have amended the Maternity Bill. This will benefit working women as leaves have been enhanced from 12 to 26 weeks.”
Talking about the clean India mission, PM Modi asserted, “Dadi ji and Brahma Kumaris have contributed towards Swachhata. Let us aim to build a Swachh Bharat that will be a tribute to Gandhi ji.”

The presence of various prominent personalities was yet another highlight of the event. Senior BJP leader L K Advani, several central ministers, Gujarat governor O P Kohli, Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu, Indu Jain, chairperson, Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd and Rajat Sharma besides Bollywood actors Raveena Tandon and Gracy Singh, to name a few.

Certainly, the vigor and fervor showcased by the followers of Brahma Kumaris on its 80th anniversary celebrations holds a mirror to its growing popularity which has set it apart on the stage of the world’s religions and spiritual organizations.
