PM Modi focused on the fact that, despite having different forms of worshiping God, India has always said that God was one. “In India, God is not different for the Hindus, Muslims and for Parsis. The truth is one, only different people may express it differently. We are such a country which does not believe in imposing our views on anyone. We are such people who believe that knowledge has no limits, knowledge has no timing, knowledge is not bound by anything, knowledge does not need any passport, knowledge does not need a visa,” he said.
He further added, “In our culture, the 80th anniversary is a very special occasion. Brahma Kumar and Kumaris have spread the message of India’s rich culture throughout the world. The way Brahma Kumaris family has taken forward the reach of solar energy actively is commendable. By 2030, India aims to generate 40% energy from non-fossil fuels. This will bring down corruption.” He further emphasized on the dire need for the organization to help the government’s ‘Indradhanush’ vaccination programme for new-born children as lakhs of them suffer from various diseases.
The Brahma Kumaris lays great emphasis on the importance of women rights and their position in the society. Modi also focused on the importance of nutrition and empowerment of women, as he said, “Urge Brahma Kumaris family, Central and state departments to come up with plans to ensure proper nutrition. We have amended the Maternity Bill. This will benefit working women as leaves have been enhanced from 12 to 26 weeks.”
Talking about the clean India mission, PM Modi asserted, “Dadi ji and Brahma Kumaris have contributed towards Swachhata. Let us aim to build a Swachh Bharat that will be a tribute to Gandhi ji.”
