‘Free Health Check-up Camp’ by Dr Ashwani Maichand seeks to treat Delhi’s Arthritis Patients

A special health camp is going to be held on Sunday, August 13, under the aegis of Dr Ashwani Maichand, Delhi’s top orthopedic. The camp, which will held from 9 am to 12 pm at Minomax Knee & Shoulder Clinic, located in West Delhi’s West Patel Nagar, is an initiative by Dr Maichand to make the city ‘free from pain’.

Over 15 million adults in India fall prey to arthritis every year. In fact, a number of studies point towards alarming conclusions that say India might become the ‘Osteoporosis Capital’ by 2025 with over 60 million people suffering from severe joint defects. The disturbing trend needs to be arrested before it becomes endemic.

The health camp has a nominal registration fee of Rs 50.The applicants will be able to undertake a Bone Mineral Density Test and a Neuropathy Test, absolutely free of cost. In addition, the first 20 patients can also take a free Vitamin D Test. Moreover, registered patients can also avail 50% discount on X-rays. Those troubled by chronic joint inflammation, swelling, snapping, instability, locking, stiffness, or other bone or muscle related ailments can get a detailed consultation session with Dr Ashwani Maichand, without even spending a penny.

Dr Maichand has a rich experience of more than three decades as an orthopedist. He has been associated with renowned healthcare institutions like Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Fortis Hospital. At present, he holds the position of a senior consultant and director at the Institute of Bone and Joint in MGS Hospital, Punjabi Bagh.

Dr Maichand has performed over 6,000 successful joint surgeries in his career so far. He specializes in undertaking orthopedic corrective operations by employing the advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) technique.
