Sahara India employees march for Pulwama attack CRPF martyrs

Sahara India Pariwar stood with crores of Indians in paying homage to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack

The Pulwama attack which led to the death of 47 CRPF Jawans has been one of the most brutal ones in the past and has received international condemnation. Sahara India Pariwar, which has lakhs of employees all across India, came out in huge numbers and took part in the march in various locations in all levels of its management.

The candlelight marches consisted of swarms of employees chanting slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Veer Shaheed Amar Rahe.”

While the report by Samay Live Channel showed Sahara employees in 7 key locations in Noida, Bhopal, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Nagpur, candlelight marches were organized by Sahara employees in other small cities and big cities.

The group which promotes “the spirit of nationalism” has been in the forefront for issues related to the soldiers and national integrity.  The organization had, in the past, supported families of Martyrs of Kargil War, 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack and Dantewada Massacre.


Its Chief Managing Worker, Subrata Roy Sahara had extended a decade long support to Kargil Martyrs by announcing special extension of support to 301 children of 152 Kargil martyrs’ who are below the age of 18 years.

In the wake of a terror attack, many other marches and protests took place across various parts of the country.  The Federation of Western India Cine Employees, along with organization of workers of Indian film industry announced that Pakistani artists will not be allowed to work in Indian films. Cricket icons like Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Kaif and Suresh Raina also participated in the protest.
