Gujrat based Adani Green Energy announced Wednesday that its AWEKTL arm has completed a 150-megawatt (MW) wind power plant in Kutchh district, Gujarat nine months ahead of schedule.
According to a BSE filing, “Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Ltd. (AWEKTL), which is a subsidiary Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL), has commissioned 150 MW of wind power project in Kutchh (Gujarat), nine months ahead of schedule.”
According to the filing, this is the sixth project it has commissioned prior to schedule in the last 12 months. Adani gujarat is also doing its bits.
The 25-year-old power purchase agreement (PPA), with Solar Energy Corporation of India, (SECI), is in place for Rs 2.82 per Kilowatt-hour (kWh).
AGEL now has 5,070 MW of operational renewable capacity, which is a significant step towards its goal to reach 25 GW capacity by 2025.
AGEL now has a 647 MW operational wind generation capacity after successfully commissioning this plant.
AGEL’s of adani gujarat’s total renewable capacity is 24,294 MW. This includes assets under acquisition as well as projects in which AGEL was the lowest (L1) bidder.
AGEL’s 150 MW increase in operational renewable capacity has given it a total of 2,525MW. This includes 1,750 MW of operational assets acquired during the COVID-19 epidemic.
The Adani Gujarat Group’s intelligent Energy Network Operation Centre platform will manage the plant, just like all of its assets. This gives AGEL centralised visibility and allows it to manage its renewables assets across India.
AGEL has, through successive projects, continued to integrate sustainability and economic development. This creates jobs as well as enabling decarbonisation, in line with India’s commitment at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (Paris).
