Top 6 Most Anticipated Gadgets of 2022

The year 2022 is anticipated to be an eventful year for new technologies coming over from different parts of the world. Gadgets from gaming to electric vehicles and mixed reality wearables are lined up to be released this year. Some products have already been announced, and others are still at the stage of rumor, but have a reasonable shot of making it to market. In this article we will focus on the top 6 anticipated products of 2022.

  1. Apple Universal Control: In June 2021, Universal Control, in its WWDC conference announced that the next versions of its iOS and MacOS operating systems would allow users to control a Mac and an iPad from one keyboard, one mouse or a touchpad. However, Apple has now mentioned on its website that the Universal Control feature will arrive next spring.
  2. Rivian R1T and R1S:The company is working on delivering a fleet of local delivery vans for Amazon, which owns 20 per cent of Rivian stake. However, the company expertise in manufacturing electric pickup trucks and electric SUVs. It is now beginning to manufacture the R1T trucks. The shipping is expected to start this year  for USD 67,500 as a base price.
  3. Sony PlayStation VR2:. It is built for the PlayStation 5. The new PlayStation VR2 headset and Sense controller will offer better console processing power, more high-resolution experience compared to the previous model. The new headset consists of high-end features, like a 4K OLED HDR display for improved realism. Additionally, the new Sense VR controllers offer more tracking fidelity. It is similar to the controllers found on Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 VR headset.
  4. Apple iPhone 14: There is a high possibility that Apple will release a new line of  iPhones called the iPhone 14 in the fall of 2022 if it sticks to its tradition. Rumors are that the line up will consist of a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, along with a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. The design and dynamics will likely be the same as iPhone 13. This time however, there will be no mini version of the flagship variant.
  5. Meta Quest 3: Meta (Facebook) announced in its big metaverse presentation last year that it was working on a new virtual reality device that will take its users into the metaverse (a virtual universe). The codename decided by the company for this device is “Project Cambria”. It’ll likely launch in 2022 as per the announcements.
  6. LG OLED EX: LG keeps evolving its technologies when it comes to televisions. Through the new OLED EX models, LG has found a way to use deuterium, also called “heavy water” to improve its OLED technology. The technology will also improve brightness and picture quality and consume less electricity.
