NBA 2022: ‘Gully Boy’ Ranveer Singh to play NBA alongside Tiffany Haddish, Machine Gun Kelly

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh is geared up to become a part of the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game that would be featuring some of the top global basketball players and musicians. The news was confirmed by the actor through his social media handle recently while taking personal Q&A session with his followers.

The actor is planning to participate in several league initiatives that will be featured on the NBA and his personal social media account. Ranveer has started his training for the big match already.

“I have loved the NBA and basketball since my childhood, and have always been fascinated with its influence on popular culture including entertainment, music, and fashion,” said Ranveer during his announcement as the brand ambassador last year.

In September 2021, the US’s National Basketball Association appointed Ranveer Singh as the NBA Brand Ambassador for India. Ranveer will be flying off to Cleveland to play alongside comedian Tiffany Haddish, rappers and recording artists like Anuel, Jack Harlow, Machine Hun Kelly, and Quavo 4, among others.

“With the NBA tipping off its 75th season celebrations, there couldn’t have been a better time to join forces with the league and support their efforts to grow basketball in the country,” said Ranveer.

The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is scheduled for February 18. The match will be played at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, which will also feature renowned athletes from the past and present.

Some of the athletes include Las Vegas Aces forward Dearica Hamby, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, Andrson Varejao and Cleveland Cavaliers legends Booby Gibson.

NBA All-Star Celebrity game is an annual event held in February every year in which celebrities from entertainment and music industries play alongside each other.

On the acting front, Ranveer Singh has several upcoming movies in his kitty including YRF’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, Shankar’s remake of his blockbuster ‘Anniyan’, and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus.’
