Operated by Niira Radia’s Nayati Healthcare, the medical center treated over 350 patients on its first day
In Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, devotees coming from all over the world to Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple will now be able to avail immediate healthcare, free of cost. Inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath and Niira Radia, Shri Kashi Arogya Mandir, set up near gate number 4 within the temple premises will address the immediate healthcare needs of devotees and locals of Varanasi.
Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Vishal Singh, CEO of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust said, “Every month millions of people from all walks of life visit the historic temple. A dedicated medical facility at the temple premises was the need of the hour as we witness many pilgrims requiring medical attention on”.
The Kashi Vishwanath temple receives around 1.2 to 1.5 million pilgrims every month. Considering the number of people, a medical unit equipped to handle emergency situations and provide essential healthcare services is quite necessary.
The impact of the medical unit was seen on the very first day of its operation, where the unit served over 350 patients, of which a considerable number needed medical attention.
“We appreciate the efforts of Nayati Healthcare for partnering with us in this initiative. They have been working in pilgrim areas through MMUs and trained staff and understand the medical needs of the pilgrims. Typically it has been seen that the pilgrims tend to suffer from ailments like joint pain, vertigo, fever, diarrhoea, headache, heat stroke well as respiratory congestion and having a setup within the premise which can stabilise the patient will be beneficial for the pilgrims and locals,” Vishal Singh further added.
The medical center is equipped with an OPD managed by trained First Emergency Response teams of doctors and paramedics to help people visiting Kashi.
Niira Radia, Chairperson of Nayati Healthcare, stated, “With the blessings of Baba Kashi Vishwanath we have got the opportunity to serve the pilgrims in this holy city of Kashi. We are aligned-with Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust in this noble endeavour and will be extending support required for the well-being of the devotees and locals.”
With its association with Arogya Mandir, Nayati Healthcare has marked its presence in 4 major holy pilgrimages including Badrinath, Kedarnath, Vrindavan and Mahakumbh rendering medical support to pilgrims and imparting healthcare services to the locals through hospitals and medical mobile units.
Nayati Arogya Mandir is well-equipped to treat all kinds of emergencies with the provision of Lab and OPD, with a 25-member dedicated team of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and technicians. The inbuilt monitors present in the stabilization beds record the vitals of the patients.
The medical centre is also equipped with Defibrillator and ECG to handle patients with cardiac emergencies. Post stabilization, critically ill patients are shifted to the district hospital or BHU, as required, through an ambulance which is available round the clock. A full-time pharmacy has also been set up, providing medicines as prescribed by the doctors.
