World’s Greatest Brands & Leaders Asia & GCC 2017-18 Award was presented to the ICFAI Group at the India UAE Business & Social Forum 2018. It was held at Hotel J W Marriot Marquis, Dubai on May 9.
Sobha Rani Tasaswy, the Chairperson of ICFAI society, was presented with the award by His Excellency, the Consul General of Japan, Dr. Akima Umezawa. ICFAI Group was felicitated as the ‘Iconic University of India’ and the chairperson was presented with the Brand Leader Award in the summit.
On receiving the award, Chairperson Sobha Rani Yasaswy expressed her happiness by promising ICFAI’s faster ascent in the higher education sector. She said, “ICFAI will always strive to be a leader in the higher education sector for over three decades now. ICFAI has been pioneering quality education in India.”
Recipients were nominated based on extensive research in 16 industries across India. More than 1,500 nominations were made using research and data tools provided by United Research Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers, who also selected the jury panel to narrow down the awardees.
The 1,500 nominations were brought down to 400, then to 200, and subsequently the number one spot, which was given to ICFAI.
Embassy Industrial Parks also made history by receiving the first ever award for ‘World’s Greatest Brands & Leaders 2017-18 Asia GCC Award’ in the Logistics sector. Chairperson Jitu Virwani received the award on behalf of the entire team.
The summit was attended by 12 diplomats and famous delegates from all around the world. Over 300 businessmen, entrepreneurs, and leaders graced the summit with their presence.
His Excellency, Vipul, the Consul General of India to Dubai was present at the occasion. Vipul also happens to be a patron of Indian Business and Professional Council in Dubai. Vinod Adani, brother of Rajesh Adani and Gautam Adani was also in attendance.
