Mineral Exploration receives tech impetus, NUVIA to contest mineral surveying industry

In a recent surveying news, NUVIA Dynamics announced the launch of an innovative geophysical services, focused on Fixed Wing and Helicopter surveying for clients in mining, mineral exploration and environmental sectors.

The service combines advanced technology, specialized knowledge of airborne data acquisition, surveillance, and attractive cost-RoI ratio making airborne survey resolution, data quality and service available for difficult terrains and larger surveillance campuses.

The company was established in 1992 to meet the geophysical instrumentation needs of the exploration and environmental communities – primarily in Canada and North America. NUVIA Dynamics now has delivered airborne geophysical systems to over 150 sites worldwide – with an extensive experience in monitoring, geophysical survey systems, radiation detection and intelligent surveillance in difficult sites.

In addition to its pronounced hardware scope, the company has a well-known in-house knowledge of surveying and the latest geophysical technologies. The firm is headed by Sandip Goswami, CEO, who started the company with an airborne surveying service focusing on advanced Nu-TEM™ Electromagnetics data acquisition with Integrated Radiometrics and Magnetics.

“With the current shortage in geophysical operators offering high resolution services to intermediate depths globally, we looked carefully at what value we could bring to the sector. In the end, we determined that there was indeed an opportunity to bring both innovative services and cost benefits to clients simultaneously by leveraging our in-house knowledge of airborne geophysical data acquisition and the latest company technologies”, stated Sandip Goswami.

The company enhances its surveys by performing Integrated Data Acquisition via combined NuTEM™ Electromagnetic, Radiometric and/or Magnetic surveys and optional geophysical interpretation. In practice, this lets NUVIA deliver data that is very high resolution data making its services largely competitive and high-standard in the industry.

The mineral exploration industry, starts with in-house geophysicists start with a review of existing data to determine platform type and initial parameters. Geology is also considered at this stage. A survey design is then established using proprietary software.
