Nawazuddin Siddiqui family tree: Insight into his personal life

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s family tree includes his late father, mother, wife, two children, and eight siblings, out of which he is the eldest. The actor has been hailed across the world with numerous international and national recognitions for his acting in various movies and television series. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the few actors who have worked with the 3 Khans of Bollywood – Shahrukh (Raees), Salman (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), and Aamir (Talaash).

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born on May 19, 1974, in Budhana, Muzzafarnagar, Uttar Pradesh to Nawabuddin Siddiqui and Mehroonisa. His mother is a house maker while his father used to work as a farmer and woodcutter. Nawazuddin’s father was paralyzed for the last few years of his life before succumbing to a brain haemorrhage in 2015. Four years later, his sister, Syama Tamshi Siddiqui died of breast cancer at the age of 26.

After completing his schooling from BSS Inter College, Budhana, Nawaz went on to pursue B.Sc. in Chemistry from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. Afterwards, he worked in Vadodra at a chemist shop. Originally, he came to Delhi for a better job but ended up with an interest in acting followed by participation in several plays. This laid the foundation for his admission to the National School of Drama (NSD). In 2004, he moved to Mumbai.

Nawazuddin married Sheeba, but faced trouble in marriage due to his brother. The relationship ended with a divorce followed by marriage with Anjali Kishor Pandey (Aaliya Siddiqui after marriage) who hails from his village. The couple is blessed with one daughter, Shora Siddiqui (9 years), and a son, Yaani Siddiqui (6 years). In May 2020, Aaliya filed for divorce. Nawaz was living with his younger brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, who is a director.

Peepli Live (2010), Kahaani (2012), and Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012) are often noted as Nawazuddin’s claim to fame. Very few people know that he has done a cameo in Sarfarosh (1999) and Munnabhai MBBS (2003). The actor has been bestowed with 16 national and 9 international awards.
